Job summary

Explico, a forensic engineering firm, seeks a Senior Artist for its Denver or Detroit offices. You will handle the full 3D workflow from modeling to rendering in Blender, creating visuals that support analyses and juror presentations.

The role requires comfort with imagery depicting accidents and injuries and is hybrid, requiring three days in the office weekly. We value attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, and experience in 3D graphics, animation,

Qualifications

• Experience and/or formal education in 3D computer graphics as a technical artist.
• Blender experience (Other software can be used for asset creation, but the final scene will be in and rendered from Blender.)
• 3D animation experience (largely mechanical animation, for example an explainer video on how bicycle brakes work)
• Environment creation (hard surface modeling required, no kit bashing)
• Ability to take a project from start to finish

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to create visualizations that communicate analyses clearly.
• Develop 3D scenes from modeling to rendering using Blender.
• Prepare visuals suitable for jurors in trial and explain technical concepts visually.
