Job summary

Hypower is seeking an Underground Construction Foreman in New York. The ideal candidate will operate heavy equipment and supervise a crew effectively. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and making field decisions.

Underground Construction Foreman

Hypower is looking for an Underground Construction Foreman to join our team! The ideal candidate will be qualified to operate excavators over 50K load‑ers, skid steers, rollers, and other heavy equipment, and have experience supervising a five‑person crew efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have 5 years of operating experience.
• Be able to read grade stakes and interpret grades.
• Must have knowledge of working with trench boxes and dewatering systems.
• Having a valid CDL is a plus.
• Operate a Windows‑based computer to keep timesheets and daily paperwork.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Be able to make decisions in the field to take corrective actions necessary for job duties.
• Be able to communicate with others inside of Hypower as well as with city and client officials.
• Work schedule can be day and/or night shifts.
• Must be willing to work with construction crews and perform physical labor if required.
