Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC is seeking a Foreman for the Telecom Underground team in Rocky Mount, NC. You will lead crews to install and maintain underground telecom systems, ensure safety protocols, and manage project timelines.

You will read blueprints, train crew members, and communicate with property owners to resolve issues while operating heavy equipment in all weather conditions. A strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Foreman experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Help with training of crew members.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Help ensure everyone follows safety policies (OSHA and DOT).
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities.
• Speak with property owners about work and resolve issues.
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
