Job summary

Lambert's Cable seeks a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will serve as on-site expert, guiding less experienced team members and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves coordinating field crews, ensuring compliance with codes, and supporting storm response. The position requires travel as needed and a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam and carry a valid medical card.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair aerial telecom systems per codes and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows on site.
• Work safely at heights using climbing gear.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class "A" driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
