Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding, LLC in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a production supervisor to direct a team of shop employees, including welders and painters, to meet quality and safety standards within production schedules.
You will read blueprints, plan procedures, supervise staffing, and coordinate with engineers to ensure cost containment and timely delivery. A high school diploma with 4–5 years of plant operations and supervision experience is required.
Directs the activities of a group or team of shop employees involved in a specific production, repair, or material handling process in order to meet Company quality and safety standards within production schedules, in the most cost effective manner. Supervises general hourly employees, welders, painters, plant clerks, etc. Works under the general direction of a plant superintendent, plant manager or other plant management position.

Considerable knowledge of plant operations with particular emphasis on techniques and equipment for area involved. Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work objectives. Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material, and manpower needs. Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group and to perform as a member of a management team. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
Completion of a standard high school education supplemented by course work in drafting, industrial technology or related areas, and 4-5 years experience in plant operations and supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
