Job summary

Shiel Sexton Company in Indianapolis is seeking a seasoned Construction Supervisor to lead carpenters and laborers on active projects, ensuring work aligns with plans, specs, and safety standards.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, monitor productivity, review progress, and mentor crews to improve workmanship in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of construction trade experience.
• Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Experience leading carpenters and/or laborers with ability to lead field crews.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA safety training or certification.

Experience leading commercial and/or residential construction projects.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
