Supervises, coordinates, inspects, and performs the assembly, installation, and repair of components, subsystems, and systems for the piping trade during the construction, tenant finish-out, or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

Essential Duties

1. Prepares material take-offs, layouts appropriate systems, and makes isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals, and job orders.
2. Participates in job planning for work packages, manages construction/manufacturing schedules, man-hour needs, and ensures appropriate staffing.
3. Coaches, mentors, and guides craft workers (piping trade). Coordinates activities of assigned craft workers and operation of equipment. Verifies staff certifications.
4. Inspects work in progress and completed work for conformance to specifications.
5. Eliminates hazards and performs safety observations.
6. Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools, and supplies. Maintains tool inventory.
7. Verifies that delivered materials and equipment match approved submittals.
8. Works with tools to meet schedules or other demands.
9. Identifies conflicts or clarifications needed in contract documents.
10. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Foreman Pipefitter.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
