A leading fire protection company is looking for an experienced Fire Protection Foreman Pipe Fitter. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems while supervising apprentices. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Fire Protection Foreman Pipe Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler and suppression systems in commercial and/or residential settings. You will also be responsible for running a team of apprentices. You must have a strong working knowledge of fire protection systems and relevant codes and standards. The working area is within the SLC Valley which you will need reliable transportation to and from.
Responsibilities• Install, fit, and maintain fire sprinkler piping systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge types.
• Interpret blueprints and layout drawings to ensure accurate system installation.
• Cut, thread, groove, weld, and join pipes using proper tools and techniques for steel, CPVC, etc.
• Secure pipes and system components using hangers, supports, and clamps.
• Conduct system testing using hydrostatic and air pressure methods.
• Troubleshoot and repair leaks or issues in fire protection systems.
• Maintain accurate records of installation, service, and inspections.
• Follow all OSHA safety protocols and fire protection industry regulations.
• Work closely with helpers/apprentices, project managers, and other trades on job sites.
Qualifications• Minimum 2+ years of experience in fire protection pipefitting.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience running jobs and supervising apprentices.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25 standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED; completion of a fire protection apprenticeship is a plus.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift 50+ lbs.
