Job Overview

Responsibilities include:

  • Services and repairs fire protection sprinkler systems for commercial applications.
  • Performs preventative and routine maintenance, emergency service calls on existing sprinkler systems.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and identifies malfunctioning sprinkler systems.
  • Replaces or repairs malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
  • Prepares accurate documentation of work, completes monthly vehicle reports, and maintains truck inventory.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures a positive customer experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School/Vocational training or equivalent.
  • Three or more years of experience with all fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, deluge, pre-action).
  • Knowledge of fire pumps and underground sprinkler systems.
  • Understanding of NFPA and local codes (NFPA 13, 13(R), 13(D), 14, 20, 24).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screening.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, and procedures in English.
Certifications and Licensing
  • Backflow Test and Repair Certification.
  • Ability to obtain and retain other required certifications/licenses as per regulations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposure to weather, electrical hazards, and demanding physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., working in difficult positions, and traveling as needed.
