Job description

Overhead Distribution Working Foreperson

A skilled position requiring prior experience in the installation and repair of overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, and electrical systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct and assist crew with all aspects of the electrical system.
• Obtain daily job descriptions and coordinate with the General Foreperson.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment.
• Problem solve with unidentified circumstances on jobs.
• Implement and enforce safety programs at the field level.
• Ensure employees are trained and qualified.
• Conduct safety briefings and inspections.
• Investigate incidents and near misses.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Report injuries and incidents immediately.
• Perform other duties related to overhead power supply installation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and required tools.

Education & Experience

• 5+ years in electrical power line construction.
• Proof of experience, schooling, and certifications.
• Previous overhead maintenance experience required.

Additional Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screening, background, and MVR check.
• Driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL preferred.
• Willing to travel out of state for storm work.
