Job summary

Johnson Service Company, a division of Midlands Contracting, Inc., seeks a Foreman for our construction team. The role is based throughout Eastern Nebraska with regional travel and no weekend work.

You will supervise a two-person crew on pipeline cleaning/televising projects, coordinate with city engineers, and ensure safety and reliability on site. Travel and training are provided; a CDL is required or obtainable, and candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• CDL A/B required or ability to obtain one
• Prior supervisory or management experience is required
• Lead and manage a two-person crew
• Manage projects with city employees and engineers professionally
• Pipeline cleaning/televising experience preferred; training provided
• Troubleshoot and handle challenging situations during cleaning/televising
• Operate pipeline observation computer system (training provided)
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience with combo trucks for jetting and vacuuming pipelines
• Track daily manhours and production quantities
• Document performance feedback clearly and professionally
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with heavier loads
• Stand/walk/kneel/crouch/crawl for extended periods
• Follow safety rules; safety training provided
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

This position is based throughout Eastern Nebraska, and you can live anywhere in the region. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to travel.

Job Details

• Salary: $85,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)
• Hours: 50+ hours per week (no weekends)
• Travel: Most projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends)
• Hotel accommodations provided by the company
• Nightly per diem for meals while working out of town

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL required (or the ability and desire to obtain one)
• Previous supervisory or management experience required
• Ability to lead and manage a two-person crew effectively
• Capable of managing projects, including communication with city employees and engineers while maintaining professionalism
• Experience in pipeline cleaning and televising is preferred but not required—training will be provided
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations encountered during cleaning and televising operations
• Ability to operate a pipeline observation computer system for televising (training provided)
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience with the operation, maintenance, and minor repairs of combo trucks used for jetting and vacuuming pipelines
• Responsible for tracking and entering daily manhours and production quantities
• Responsible for documenting performance feedback or issues clearly and professionally
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and assist with heavier loads as needed
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods
• Must abide by all company safety rules (safety training provided)
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screenMust be authorized to work in the United States
