Job summary

Johnson Service Company, a division of Midlands Contracting, Inc., is seeking a Foreman to join our growing construction team. This position is based throughout Eastern Nebraska, and you can live anywhere in the region.

We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to travel. Salary ranges from $85,000 to $150,000 based on experience, with 50+ hours per week and travel Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• CDL class A or B required (or ability to obtain one).
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Able to lead and manage a two-person crew effectively.
• Capable of managing projects with city employees and engineers.
• Pipeline cleaning/televising experience preferred but training provided.
• Able to troubleshoot and handle difficult situations in cleaning/televising.
• Operate pipeline observation computer system (training provided).
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Experience with combo trucks for jetting and vacuuming pipelines.

Job Details

• Salary: $85,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)
• Hours: 50+ hours per week (no weekends)
• Travel: Most projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends)
• Hotel accommodations provided by the company
• Nightly per diem for meals while working out of town
• Company-provided pickup truck and cell phone
• Year-round employment—no winter layoffs

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL required (or the ability and desire to obtain one)
• Previous supervisory or management experience required
• Ability to lead and manage a two-person crew effectively
• Capable of managing projects, including communication with city employees and engineers while maintaining professionalism
• Experience in pipeline cleaning and televising is preferred but not required—training will be provided
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations encountered during cleaning and televising operations
• Ability to operate a pipeline observation computer system for televising (training provided)
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience with the operation, maintenance, and minor repairs of combo trucks used for jetting and vacuuming pipelines
• Responsible for tracking and entering daily manhours and production quantities
• Responsible for documenting performance feedback or issues clearly and professionally
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and assist with heavier loads as needed
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods
• Must abide by all company safety rules (safety training provided)
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screenMust be authorized to work in the United States
