Job summary

CoolSys in Denver seeks a Lead Technician/Foreman to oversee on-site projects in the HVAC and refrigeration space. You will manage labor, cost, and safety while coordinating with customers, GCs, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, strong organizational and leadership skills, and thorough knowledge of project planning tools. A safety-first mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or completion of a trade program or technical school.
• College degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related field.
• Knowledge of construction principles and efficient use of labor hours.
• Ability to organize tasks and give clear instructions.
• Ability to manage time and supervise to ensure quality results.
• Adherence to safety policies and minimal supervision requirements.

• Reports on job status and performance.
• Controls job costs.
• Develops and maintains productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs and subcontractors.
• Ensures use of PPE and safe behavior by all employees.
• Ensures compliance with Installation policies and procedures, including tracking, safety, and attendance.
• May oversee 3rd party resources.
• Directs and oversees the work of Apprentices and Journeymen on projects.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Track record of punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to manage time, delegate assignments and follow through to ensure good results.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, Project Planning Software (Projectmates), etc.
