Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. in Hickory, NC is seeking an Equipment Foreman to lead telecom crews, manage equipment and materials, and ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining a safe work environment.

You will oversee training of crew members, enforce OSHA/DOT guidelines, and coordinate with the supervisor on daily tasks. Requires 3+ years of related experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Previous foreman experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates as needed
• Oversee and help with training of crew members
• Help ensure safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork
• Operate heavy equipment and complete maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• All other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment

• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
