Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance. You will guide less experienced team members and ensure high-quality work in challenging environments.

The role requires travel for storm response on short notice, ability to work at heights, and a valid DOT medical card. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring codes, regulations, and customer requirements are met.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows smoothly on job sites.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Provide guidance and support to crew members as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm responses on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
