Barnard Construction Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman for our Hachita, New Mexico site. You will lead the maintenance team, diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications include strong leadership, field and shop inspection skills, and the ability to fabricate parts when needed. Valid driver’s license and willingness to work long hours are required.

Qualifikationen

• Oversee maintenance and leadership of heavy equipment maintenance team.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Must own service truck (not required) and tools applicable to the position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to inspect heavy equipment and identify defects and performance issues in field and shop.
• Maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on various equipment.
• Perform visual inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Fabricate parts when needed.
• Comply with Barnard’s safety culture and policies.
• Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.

Qualifications

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and daily operations of our heavy equipment maintenance team.
• Responsible for keeping construction equipment safe, reliable, and operating efficiently while providing hands-on mechanical support and leadership to other mechanics.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Must own service truck (not required) and tools applicable to the position
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to inspect heavy equipment and identify defects and performance issues both in the field and in the shop.
• Maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of construction equipment and tools.
• Perform required visual inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on a variety of construction equipment.

• Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate progress and crew needs to the project management team.
