R.B. Hinkle Construction Inc. seeks a Gas Foreman to oversee field operations on natural gas projects in Maryland. You will supervise crews, interpret plans, and ensure safety and quality, coordinating tasks and resources to meet timelines and standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in gas distribution, with at least 2 years in leadership, and a strong knowledge of DOT regulations and proper procedure. CDL preferred; outdoor work in various weather conditions is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in natural gas distribution construction and maintenance, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of natural gas pipeline installation, repair, and safety procedures (e.g., DOT regulations, 49 CFR Part 192).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct crews in installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines and services.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to maximize efficiency and progress.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders for accurate execution.

• Maintain logs, progress reports, and equipment maintenance records.
• Order materials and equipment as needed for project demands.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote safety and best practices.

Job Overview:Job Summary**The Foreman Gas is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily field operations of gas utility construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications and company standards.Job Responsibilities*** Supervise and direct crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines, mains, and service lines.* Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to crew members, ensuring optimal resource utilization and project progression.* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate execution of gas system construction and repair.* Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce all safety regulations and policies, and ensure a safe working environment.* Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to gas utility standards.* Operate and/or oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, trenchers, and backhoes.* Troubleshoot and resolve field issues, making on-the-spot decisions to maintain project timelines.* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and crew members.* Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and equipment maintenance records.* Order materials and equipment as needed, ensuring availability for project demands.* Train and mentor crew members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.Job Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade school certification preferred.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in natural gas distribution construction and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.* Thorough knowledge of natural gas pipeline installation, repair, and safety procedures (e.g., DOT regulations, 49 CFR Part 192).* Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.* Ability to operate various heavy equipment safely and efficiently.* Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.Company Overview:R.B.
