Job summary

Red Bank Borough's Department of Public Utilities is seeking a Foreman of Fleets and Mechanics in Red Bank, NJ. You will supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of municipal vehicles and construction equipment under the Director of Public Utilities.

The role requires at least five years of experience with motor vehicles and heavy equipment, welding, and a valid NJ driver’s license with CDL endorsements. CPWM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience maintaining and repairing motor vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
• Welding experience required.
• Technical or vocational certificate in fleet maintenance and repair (e.g., ASE).
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and valid CDL with applicable endorsements; N endorsement preferred.
• CPWM certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to supervise employees effectively.
• Physical ability to operate equipment and lift over 50 pounds.

The Borough seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Foreman of Fleets and Mechanics for its Department of Public Utilities. Under the direction of the Director of Public Utilities, supervises and performs maintenance, repair, and servicing of municipal vehicles and construction equipment. Qualifications: Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining and repairing motor vehicles and heavy construction equipment; welding experience required. Technical or vocational certificate in fleet maintenance and repair (e.g., ASE course completion), valid New Jersey driver’s license, and valid CDL with applicable endorsements required; “N” endorsement preferred. CPWM certification preferred but not required. Must possess knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and diagnostic equipment, and the ability to supervise employees effectively. Physical Requirements: Ability to operate equipment for extended periods, read printed/electronic information, and lift, carry, and move objects over 50 pounds.
