Job Title: Foreman Electrician - Houston, TX

Location: Houston, TX - On-site (field)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $32.00 - $42.00 Hourly + Overtime

This opportunity is with one of the largest open-shop electrical contractors in Texas, ranked among the top 10 electrical contractors in the state, with a 30+ year track record and expanding operations across Oklahoma. The company's expertise spans nearly every corner of electrical construction, from design-build and industrial work to large-scale healthcare, aviation, education, and data center projects, and it has built a reputation with general contractors for precision, reliability, and on-time delivery.

The company runs one of the strongest VDC/BIM departments in the state, producing shop drawings to a rigorous LOD 400 detail level and coordinating directly with an in-house prefabrication department to speed up field installation and reduce on-site labor. The virtual design team averages well over a decade of electrical industry experience, and the department fosters a detail-oriented, collaborative culture built on clear communication and dependable delivery.

Role Overview

The Foreman Electrician leads a crew on the assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial, industrial, and large multi-family settings. This is a hands-on leadership role: the Foreman plans the work, lays out the install from the drawings, and holds the crew to code, spec, schedule, and budget.

  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings, then lay out and install as specified
  • Connect wiring, fixtures, and equipment to code, specification, and manufacturer requirements
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances before and during installation
  • Operate hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, cable vacuum systems, and similar equipment
  • Maintain certification for powder-actuated tools and JLG aerial lifts
  • Enforce jobsite safety, PPE compliance, and housekeeping across the crew
  • Track labor and material against the schedule and budget and report progress to the superintendent
