Job description

Knowledge of established buried/bore cable installation procedures and techniques. Be familiar with a wide range of tools and equipment, and able to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.

Responsibilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of directional drilling operations.
  • Proficiency with drilling equipment, understanding its capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience with drill setup and design processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a bore schedule.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong safety awareness, including participation in site Job Safety Analyses (JSA) prior to construction.
  • Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely.
  • Operate directional drills safely on the jobsite.
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite.
  • Demonstrate job skills, procedures, and techniques to crew members.
  • Responsible for site setup and cleanup.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of directional drilling operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of directional drilling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly.
  • Capability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to accurately measure distances using tapes or other measuring devices.
