Job description

Knowledge of established buried/bore cable installation procedures and techniques. Be familiar with a wide range of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive knowledge of directional drilling operations
• Must be proficient with drilling equipment and knowing its capabilities and limitations
• Experience with drill setup and design processes
• Must be able to develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must be very safety conscious and involved in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
• Must be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
• Safely operate directional drills on the jobsite
• Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Demonstrate job skills, procedures, and techniques to crew members
• Responsible for site setup and cleanup

Qualifications:

• Strong technical knowledge of directional drilling operations
• At least 5 years of directional drilling experience
• Valid Driver's license required; Class A CDL preferred
• Ability to drive a company vehicle safely and responsibly
• Ability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Ability to accurately measure distances using tapes or other measuring devices
