Job summary

MEC Construction LLC in Pennsylvania seeks a Leadman to supervise field crews on mid-stream natural gas construction projects, directing and motivating the team, allocating tasks, and ensuring safety and quality standards on site.

The role requires the ability to read blueprints, ISOs and P&IDs, strong verbal and written communication, and the capacity to meet fast-paced schedules. Travel is required; OSHA 10 is preferred. This is an on-site leadership position with hands-on responsibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Leadman level experience in mid-stream natural gas construction.
• Ability to lead a crew in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to meet fast paced schedules and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to perform all other duties as assigned; proven ability to lead a crew.
• Ability to read ISOs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Accepts field assignments from Superintendent and completes projects by coordinating materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Directs and motivates field personnel in task execution.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities to crew members.
• Supervise and train assigned crew members.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Guarantee safety and quality standards are met.
• Supervise machinery and equipment usage.
• Resolve operational problems or escalate to site superintendent.
• Report progress to managers and engineers.
• Maintain safe, secure, healthy work environment following company practices.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Resolve operational problems or elevates issues to site superintendent
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment for assigned crew members by following and enforcing company practices and standards
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
• Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
• Frequent bending, twisting and standing
• Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
