Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews installing, testing, and commissioning instrumentation, control systems, and electrical components on industrial projects.

You will supervise technicians, interpret drawings, coordinate with project managers, enforce safety standards, and maintain accurate records. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential; NEC/OSHA familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, controls, or I&C field installation work.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in construction or field environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proven ability to lead crews and maintain worksite productivity and safety.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with NEC and OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project managers and superintendents on scheduling, materials, and change orders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to instrumentation, controls, or electrical work.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for assigned crew.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with installations, terminations, loop checks, and testing as needed.

Overview

As a Foreman at Prime Controls, you willbe responsible forleading field crews in the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical components. You will coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and safety personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, andin accordance withspecifications and company standards.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

What You Will Bring
The Basic
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, controls, or I&C field installation work

The Preferred
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License (as required by state/localjurisdictions)
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • NCCER or other industry-recognized credentials
  • Experience working in industrial environments such as water/wastewater, oil & gas, or semiconductor facilities
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
