  • Enforce safety standards and OSHA 30-hour training requirements within the last 3 years.
  • Must drive a vehicle in performance of duties.
  • Walk long distances in rough terrain; work in extreme temperatures.
  • Comply with safety considerations for the role.
  • Lift up to 80 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds routinely.

This role requires travel both within and outside of Arkansas.

Summary

Supervise andcoordinate activity of workers engaged in construction projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.
  • Confer with supervisor, managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
  • Order or requisition materials or supplies.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
  • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
  • Implement and enforce safety requirements for the job. Must have completed the OSHA 30 hour construction standards training course within the last 3 years.
  • Required to drive motor vehicle in performance of duties.
  • Ability to walk long distances in rough or variable terrain.
  • Work in extreme hot or cold environments.
  • Must be able to understand and follow safety considerations herein and as applies to the activity involved.
  • May be required to lift up to 80 pounds and carry objects of 50 pounds or less routinely.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Will directly supervise a crew of up to 10 workers.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, instructions, and procedure manuals. Routine report writing. Effective communication skills. Implement and enforce safety standards.

Education And Experience

High School Diploma preferred, one year relevant experience.
