Job summary

GORDON is looking for a Foreman / Team Leader to oversee production shift employees and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met on the shop floor.

You will train and manage the crew, coordinate daily workflows, read blueprints, and troubleshoot equipment with maintenance. A high school diploma and 3 years of supervision in manufacturing are preferred. This is an on-site role based in Bossier City, LA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in team leadership or direct supervision in manufacturing.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and time management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics, and to read a tape measure.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance as needed.

• Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation.
• Ready to actively support and engage in the production process with a hands-on approach.
• Follows Job Safety Analysis for the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Trains and manages production employees on the assigned shift/department.
• Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Ensure smooth and efficient management of the production process.

• Ready to actively support and engage in the production process to ensure seamless operations with a hands-on approach, as needed.
• Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
• Wears eye protection and any other designated PPE.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in team leadership and/or direct supervision of a manufacturing group, preferred.
