Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools seeks a Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish) to design and deliver a robust Spanish program within a school setting. The teacher will create a supportive learning environment, establish rapport with students, and motivate learners to develop language skills and cultural understanding.

The role emphasizes effective use of technology to enhance instruction, data-driven planning, collaboration with staff, and active involvement in school activities to support student growth

Qualifications

• Alabama teaching certification required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher with Spanish endorsement.
• Experience in language instruction preferred.

• Establish effective rapport with students
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational
  foundation
• Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for the 21st century
• Participate in school-related activities that enhance teacher, student, parent, and community relations
• Analyze different data sources in making data-driven decisions for instruction
• Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
• Perform other duties as assigned

For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
