Job summary
First Horizon Bank is seeking an experienced Foreign Exchange Operations Manager to lead Advisors and Analysts in daily FX trading, cover and settlements. You will coordinate FX Operations workflow, interact with clients, and ensure accurate back-office settlements and Nostro balance management.
The role oversees revenue and regulatory reporting and collaborates with Product & System teams for FX system testing and validation, requiring strong leadership and detail orientation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; International Finance concentration preferred.
- Four years of banking experience with at least two years exposure to Foreign Exchange or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and leadership capabilities; ability to manage deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Workflow management for daily FX trading, cover, and settlement.
- Monitor activity in the bank’s foreign currency nostro accounts (position management).
- Communicate with clients and assist with pricing or special handling as needed.
- Collaborate with internal partners to investigate reconciliation outages.
- Manage periodic revenue and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate FX system testing and validation with Product & System teams.

This leader will coordinate workflow for FX Operations and interact with internal and external clients. Daily workflow includes pricing trades, completing back-office settlements, maintaining sufficient Nostro account balances, FX Loan operational management and associated reconciliation. The role also oversees periodic revenue and regulatory reporting.

- Understanding of accounting principles key to foreign exchange risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred International Finance concentration
The ideal candidate for this role will have completed college level coursework in International Finance and have some experience with Foreign Exchange in a fast-paced work environment that requires detailed communication and interaction with internal and external clients.
