Ideal candidates have up to 3 years in mortgage foreclosure processing, strong MS Office skills, and meticulous attention to detail to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Input data, update websites, and perform status inquiries.
  • Maintain information related to specific team documents.
  • Draft correspondence with clients and other agencies involved in foreclosure process.
  • Answer phone calls from prospective purchasers and/or borrowers or lenders.
  • Cross-team flexibility to fulfil responsibilities as needed.
  • Download referrals and assign case numbers; run conflict checks; set up referrals in case management software.
  • Interpret title results; draft complaints for foreclosure and related orders/motions.
  • Figure bids and prepare reports of sale; prepare postponements; reschedule sales; provide sale results to clients/lenders.
  • Monitor lender requests, calculate figures, and meet deadlines; ensure files contain all legal documents; liaise between mortgage company and homeowners.

Summary

As a Processor in ourForeclosure department, you will provide support to our attorneys as they represent mortgage servicers in civil action related to recovering their collateral.

All Teams:

  • Input data, update websites, and perform status inquiries.
  • Maintain information related to specific team documents.
  • Draft correspondence with clients and other agencies involved in foreclosure process.
  • Answer phone calls from prospective purchasers and or borrowers or lenders
  • Any clerical duties as assigned

Input Team:

  • Download referrals from various client websites and assign case numbers
  • Run conflict checks and request any existing files
  • Setup new referrals in case management software
  • Schedule foreclosure hearing datesl>
  • Assist in maintaining calendar of hearings and sales
  • Submit check requests

Packages Team:

  • Interpret title results
  • Draft complaints for foreclosure, certain related orders and motions

Sales Team:

  • Figure bids and prepare reports of sale for Attorney/Paralegal's to conduct sale.
  • Prepare postponements
  • Reschedule Sales.
  • Provide Sale results to clients/lenders

Status Team:

  • Monitor lender requests, calculating figures, and meeting all deadlines related to these requests
  • Ensure files are complete with all legal documents.
  • Work as liaison between the mortgage company and the homeowners
  • Address and properly handle any issues that may arise with a file when brought to the attention of the Firm

Any employee of the foreclosure department may be cross-trained and expected to fulfil responsibilities of any team at any time based on business need.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • 0-3 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 4-7 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure process from beginning to end.
  • Experience with Simplifile, OnBase, & CMS.
Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 15 lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
