Job description

Job ID: 2861439 | Amazon.com Services LLC - A57

Amazon Advertising is the earth’s most customer centric advertising program and is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for brand advertisers, agencies, authors, and entrepreneurs. Our ad solutions—including sponsored, display, video, and custom ads—leverage Amazon’s innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage intended audiences throughout their daily journeys, helping advertisers build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more. This role can be based in Seattle or New York.

The Forecast and Strategy team (F&S) within Amazon Advertising is looking for an experienced professional with excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen to develop and implement our demand forecasting tools and mechanisms in a fast-paced and innovative environment, at a global scale.

As a Forecasting Manager, you will be responsible for modeling forecasting problems, discovering insights, and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, machine learning, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques which you will implement and enhance.

You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to analyze forecast variances, understand and mitigate variance drivers, identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. You should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources, and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in a concise and effective manner. Additionally, you should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences. Accurate forecasts drive improvements in cost and quality of our advertising operations on a global scale.

  5. Thought leadership on integration of new products/services supported by Advertising.
  6. Write and present documents up to the VP level.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  4. Proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  5. Experience using AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, etc.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
