Job summary

Solace is seeking a Data Scientist to forecast patient needs and optimize operations. You will build predictive models, design experiments, and collaborate with Data Engineers to productionize solutions.

You'll bridge advanced statistics with practical business applications, communicating insights to stakeholders and guiding strategic decisions. A strong foundation in statistics and Python is essential, with privacy-conscious data handling.

Qualifications

• Strong background in statistics, probability, and mathematics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time-series forecasting).
• Fluent in Python and its data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, NumPy).
• Experience with time-series analysis and forecasting techniques (ARIMA, Prophet, exponential smoothing).
• Ability to write complex SQL queries to wrangle data from Snowflake.
• Masters or PhD preferred in Data Science or related fields.
• Awareness of PHI/PII data privacy in analysis.
• Startup mindset with comfort in ambiguity and wearing many hats.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine predictive machine learning models to solve business problems (e.g., churn, volume, quality scoring).
• Own development of time-series forecasts to guide capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and causal inference studies to measure true impact of changes.
• Apply advanced statistics to uncover patterns and answer critical business questions.
• Productionize models with Data Engineers to run in production and fit data infrastructure.
• Translate complex statistical findings into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
