Job summary

Berglund Ford Mazda is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead the service team while continuing to work on vehicles and turn hours. This hands-on role supports the Service Manager and provides technical guidance to technicians.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, Ford certification, and the ability to mentor other technicians, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• Previous Shop Foreman, Team Lead, or senior-level technician experience preferred.
• Ford Certified.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example and work effectively with technicians at different skill levels.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Service Manager to help coordinate workflow and keep repairs moving through the shop.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles while continuing to produce flat rate hours.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians.
• Assist technicians with difficult or complex repairs and diagnostics.
• Help ensure repairs are completed correctly and meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Serve as a technical resource for the shop and help develop less-experienced technicians.
• Promote an organized, productive, and safe shop environment.
• Communicate with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, and Parts Department to help resolve repair or workflow issues.
