Ford Racing is seeking an engineer to design, release exterior components for upcoming high‑performance models. You will lead cross‑functional teams to ensure successful launches from concept to production, aligning with Ford Racing DNA and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 3–5+ years in body castings design & release, with CAD proficiency and GPDS understanding. A strong collaboration mindset and appetite for performance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Body Castings Design & Release.
• Body structures or closures D/R experience may also be considered.
• 2+ year of experience using CAD or other visualization tools.
• Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple exterior commodities for Ford Racing on an upcoming new model program
• Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program & engineering GPDS milestones
• Lead FSS and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject program
• Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to deliver to customer expectations
• Assure conformance to the Ford Racing DNA and all applicable Ford & regulatory requirements
• Develop innovative solutions for high performance vehicles and our enthusiast customers
• Support issue resolution and design change management during the prototype build and launch builds
• Interface and maintain collaborative relationship with Core Body Engineering Organization

In this position...

• In this position you will be responsible for the design and release of multiple exterior products on the most exciting vehicles Ford Racing produces.
• You will manage multiple cross functional relationships both internally and externally to help ensure the successful launch of the next generation, segment defining products.

What You'll Do...

• Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple exterior commodities for Ford Racing on an upcoming new model program

• Develop innovative solutions for high performance vehicles and our enthusiast customers
• Support issue resolution and design change management during the prototype build and launch builds

You'll have...

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
