Job summary

Sames Auto Group is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicle systems using advanced equipment. The role requires explaining findings to service advisors and customers, and continuous learning to stay ahead of evolving technology.

The ideal candidate will have Ford Certification, hands-on diagnostic and repair experience, and the ability to work well with customers in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Ford Certification and automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Own hand tools and safe shop practices.
• Knowledge of shop tools/equipment; ASE/A/C refrigerant certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform services using state-of-the-art automotive equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle systems per specifications.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors/customers as needed.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay current with technology.
• Record findings on approved documents for estimates and repairs.
• Assist technicians with technical activities.
• Notify store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain and secure work tools and a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
