Job summary

NPAworldwide client seeks a seasoned Force Account Construction Manager for the Hudson Tunnel Project to drive force account activities, coordinate stakeholders, and manage budgets and schedules end-to-end.

The role focuses on delivery of a landmark transit project with federal funding, ensuring safety, compliance, and on-time execution while interfacing with design teams and operations to maximize project readiness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15 years minimum experience in the Railroad industry.
• Proven experience in project management and construction management with a focus on force account operations.
• Strong understanding of change control processes and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Force Account Coordination: Coordinate and manage all force account activities per project requirements and timelines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration with project managers, contractors, and third parties to ensure integration of force account operations.
• Budget and Schedule Management: oversee budget, scope, and schedule of force account activities.
• Change Control Process: evaluate and approve all change requests and assess impacts.
• Reporting and Documentation: prepare progress reports, safety incidents, and progress highlights; maintain documentation.
• Construction Management Support: assist with constructability reviews, readiness, and rail activation.
• Design Review Support: review drawings with operations and outages for feasibility and scheduling input.
