Job summary

IREDELL-STATESVILLE SCHOOLS is seeking a motivated head coach to lead a comprehensive high school sports program, ensuring skill development, strategic play, and physical conditioning for student athletes.

The coach will mentor athletes, uphold sportsmanship, coordinate staff, and stay current with coaching clinics and best practices to promote character and achievement within the school community.

Qualifications

• Organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.

Responsibilities

• Has a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies and ensures implementation by the staff.
• Understands proper administrative command and follows proper channels.
• Serves as a role model for student athletes through instruction and actions.
• Designs conferences, clinics and staff meetings to ensure staff awareness.
• Trains staff and encourages clinic attendance to promote professional growth.
