Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming seeks an Editor, Football to support end-to-end editorial processes for trading card projects, working with Editorial leadership, Product Development, Art, and production partners to deliver accurate, compelling collectibles. This role blends content development, photography selection, and subject-list management within a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in journalism, english, communications, marketing or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of football including NFL and collegiate football.
• Ability to accurately identify a broad range of current and former football players.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new CMS/tools.

Responsibilities

• Select, assign, and crop high-quality photography appropriate to product design, licensing requirements, and brand standards.
• Coordinate text- and statistics-based card-back content for collectible trading card products.
• Build, maintain, and update subject lists in partnership with Product Development.
• Review editorial content, proofs, and layouts for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Apply established licensor style guides, editorial standards, and internal quality requirements.
• Identify photography acquisition needs and communicate requests in support of production schedules.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external content, imaging, and prepress partners throughout production.
• Complete assigned work in accordance with project schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
• Identify and resolve issues involving editorial content, imagery, licensing, or production workflow.
• Maintain accurate project information and status updates within CMS/workflow systems.
• Communicate proactively with Editorial leadership and cross-functional partners when information, assets, or approvals are needed.
• Participate in product reviews and brainstorming sessions for assigned programs.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Art to contribute editorial, imagery, and football-specific perspective to product concepts and execution.
