Job summary

Colorado State University seeks an Director of Football Academics to oversee the academic support for football student‑athletes, developing plans, monitoring progress, and coordinating staff. You will partner with coaches, academic advisors, and university services to ensure NCAA compliance and graduation outcomes.

You will manage daily study halls, deliver targeted learning strategies, and provide critical reporting to leadership while onboarding new students and supporting recruitment

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor's in counseling, education, sports management or related field.
• Experience with NCAA Division I student-athlete support services preferred.
• Knowledge of academic progress and graduation tracking.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate academic risk levels and develop graduation plans for football student‑athletes and monitor progress.
• Meet with individual students and maintain accurate files; implement learning strategies.
• Lead the academic support team at Canvas Stadium and coordinate daily reports.
• Serve as primary liaison for football logistics and on-boarding of new students.
• Coordinate staff for recruit visits and participate in additional project work.
