Job summary

Gonzaba Medical Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Foot Health Medical Assistant to perform foot health services, diabetic foot exams, toenail trimming, and related patient education.

You will support providers, manage EMR documentation, and assist with injections and wound care while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have Medical Assistant certification, CPR AED, and experience in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• CPR certification with AED is required and must be kept current.
• National certification as CMA/RMA/NRCMA is required for continued employment at Gonzaba Medical Group.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in a clinic setting within scope of Medical Assistant training.
• Triage: obtain patients’ height/weight, assist with diabetic shoes services, review questionnaires.
• Documentation in EMR, coordinate appointments, and patient education.
• Administer flu injections during flu season.
• Maintain infection control, sterilize equipment, and ensure patient safety.
• Travel to GMG locations as needed to support patient care.
