Job summary

Gonzaba Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support a family practice clinic in San Antonio, TX. The MA will assist providers, take vitals, perform basic procedures and document in the EMR.

The role requires CPR certification, MA credential and the ability to work collaboratively within a care team. Travel to other GMG locations may be required, and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent and Medical Assistant credential.
• CPR certification must be current; CMA/RMA/NRCMA preferred for continued employment.
• Experience in a clinic setting and EMR familiarity helpful.
• Ability to travel to support patient care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a clinic setting and support provider orders.
• Obtain vital signs, perform basic clinical procedures and assist triage.
• Document findings accurately in the EMR and communicate with the care team.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies and equipment in a compliant manner.
• Adhere to patient safety, confidentiality and clinic policies.
