Job summary

Maverik in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead a team delivering fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor Team Members, ensure safe food preparation, and uphold Maverik's GET: Greet, Engage, and Thank.

This full-time role offers starting pay $19.83-$21.83 per hour, bonus eligibility, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to apply.

• 2+ years of food service management (preferred).
• Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Champion GET: Greet, Engage, and Thank customers and coach staff accordingly.
• Lead by example, ensuring smooth operation of store and food service.
• Develop and mentor store team members through training and supervision.
• Maintain safe food preparation and clean self-serve areas.
• Coordinate with Store Director for facility/equipment inspections and compliance.

• Effective Problem Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and analyze an issue while creating effective solutions.
• Food Service: 2+ years of food service management (preferred).
• Food Safety Certification: Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.

• Champion GET: Champion Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by modeling the behaviors, coaching Team Members on consistent execution, and holding the team accountable for a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
• Lead by Example: Jump in alongside your team when needed and help ensure the store and food service operation are running smoothly.
• Team Development: Assist with the training, mentoring, and supervision of store team members.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper & safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serving options (food & drink dispensers).
• Operational Excellence: Complete with the inspection of facilities/equipment with the Store Director, as well as third-party inspections.

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching. It also requires reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, as well as activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The role may involve lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
