Job summary

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) seeks a Manager to lead the Food Waste Warrior unit, driving reductions in food loss in US K-12 schools through audits, toolkits, research, and community partnerships. You will coach staff, manage funder relationships, and oversee program strategy and operations within the Markets and Food team.

This role emphasizes collaboration, program implementation, and impact reporting, with oversight of budgets and donor compliance across WWF's national education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of program management experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong relationship management with schools, funders, and partners.
• Knowledge of school food systems and procurement is preferred.
• Experience in sustainability, education, or environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Food Waste Warrior program across districts and partners.
• Coach and develop program staff, set goals and performance expectations.
• Oversee data collection, audits, and impact reporting.
• Manage budgets, donor compliance, and contracts.
• Foster cross-team collaboration within WWF's Markets and Food team.
• Engage with funders and partners to grow program reach and impact.
• Coordinate with government agencies on school food policy.
• Ensure program compliance with institutional standards and policies.
