Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with climatic temperature changes, including no air conditioning in summer and low-volume heat in winter. Temperature ranges in the Perishables warehouse are between -20 and 55 degrees in a controlled environment.
  • Must be able to work in cold and humid environments continually.
  • Must pass physical, strength testing, and drug screening as required by the company.
  • Ability to work days, nights, or evenings, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform at least the minimum acceptable levels of Engineered Labor Standards.
  • Ability to work 8 or 10-hour shifts as assigned.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds infrequently, 50 pounds frequently, and 30 pounds repeatedly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Check in, unload, and receive all freight for trucks.
  • Verify quantity and check against shipping bills.
  • Date-mark incoming freight for proper rotation.
  • Operate power equipment, including highlifts and riding jacks.
  • Maintain proper load locks for trailers.
  • Store merchandise in designated areas.
  • Pull orders and transport merchandise to shipping areas.
  • Load merchandise into trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
  • Follow safety procedures and all applicable rules and laws.
