This role involves supervising food preparation, ensuring sanitation, training employees, managing schedules, cash handling, ordering supplies, and maintaining safety standards. Open to full-time and part-time applicants, on-site at Lone Star College in Houston, TX with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Catering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Provides quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in preparation and service of food and beverage items.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determines work procedures, prepares schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Uses systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, cash, payroll, etc.).
• Responsible for proper cash handling as per policy.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources.
• Directs sanitation and safety of facility and employees.
• Develops sanitation schedule and ensures adherence.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Helps select and orient employees; oversees staff training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
