Responsibilities

• Assign work, monitor employee performance, and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
• Train, coach, and provide guidance to food service employees on policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety requirements.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and customer service standards.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, inventory, and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and food service environment.
• Provide support to management with daily operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $22.42 - $22.42 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Food Supervisor:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of food service employees during assigned shifts
• Support management in overseeing meal preparation, food production, and meal service for patients, visitors, and staff
• Assign work, monitor employee performance, and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
• Train, coach, and provide guidance to food service employees on policies, procedures, and food safety standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety requirements
• Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and customer service standards
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, inventory, and resolving day-to-day operational issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and food service environment
• Provide support to management with daily operations and perform other duties as assigned

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Previous 3+ supervisory experience in food service is required; hospital, healthcare, institutional dining, or high-volume food service experience is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and infection control practices
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and service standards
• Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling, inventory, or production systems are preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Servsafe certification required
• Background check required
