Job summary

Windsor Locks Public Schools is seeking a Second Cook for South Street School to support the daily lunch operation under the Director of Food Services. Responsibilities include assisting with menu execution, proper food storage, and receiving weekly Sysco orders while maintaining positive customer relations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and ServSafe certification; previous food service experience is preferred.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Food Services, is responsible for the following:

• Proper storage of food delivered to include assisting in receiving the weekly Sysco grocery order. Ensure proper customer and client relations are maintained at all times.
• Cashier handling, complete other tasks/directives as instructed and deemed reasonable by cook manager or food service director.
• Adhere to the Respect of Fair treatment policy.

Qualifications: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); previous experience preferred. ServSafe Certification is required and provided by our lunch program. Every three years employee must get recertified.

Pay Rate: Salary and benefits per contract. Probationary period is 90 working days at which time the pay will increase per the contract.

Days/Hours: Monday through Friday 7:15am - 1:45pm
