Iroquois Job Corps in Medina, NY seeks an On-Call Cook Assistant to help prepare nutritious meals for students in a high-volume kitchen. You will support the culinary team, ensure food safety, and maintain quality service in a fast-paced environment.

This on-call, hourly role offers hands-on training in food preparation and kitchen operations while contributing to student success and healthy dining options.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of daily meals.

• Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
• Help prepare weekly and monthly food service reports.
• Maintain daily records of food costs and food usage.
• Assist with kitchen organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with the Food Services team to provide excellent service to students and staff.
• Follow all health department, sanitation, and food safety regulations.

Position Summary

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
