Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a team member for Food Court and Patient Services to handle food preparation, serving and sanitation while ensuring safe temperatures and allergen-aware meals.

You will assist with cashiering, restocking, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, grounded in our mission and values. Strong English communication and six months in hospitality or healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in hospitality, healthcare or customer service.
• Ability to follow basic oral/written instructions in English for safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, break down and sanitize Food Court/Patient Services serving areas.
• Rotate cold/hot foods during restocking and in patient refrigerators.
• Serve patient meals accurately according to diets and allergies.
• Interact with guests to maintain positive customer relations.
• Perform cashiering and cash handling as required.
• Adhere to Moffitt mission, vision and values during duties.
• Maintain knowledge of food preparation, serving and portion standards.
• Uphold infection prevention, sanitation, food temps, dating and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setup, breakdown and sanitation of all Food Court and/or Patient Services serving areas while ensuring high quality food served at appropriate temperature.
• Rotate all cold and hot food required during restocking, whether in the Food court, or in the Patient refrigerators for cold food holding.
• Knowledge of diets and allergies sufficient to serve patient meals accurately, or to answer guest questions in the Food Court.
• Continuous interaction with the public which necessitates positive customer relations.
• Performs computer related activities such as cashiering and cash handling as required.
• Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Moffitt Cancer Center.
• Working knowledge of food preparation, serving and portion standards.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of modified diets, proper condiments, and related restrictions for diets, including allergies and preferences.
• Working knowledge of infection prevention and sanitation with food temperatures, refrigeration temperatures, dating of foods, equipment cleaning, hand washing, use of gloves and proper personal protective equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• No education requirement, High School preferred.
• Six months experience in the following: hospitality, healthcare or customer service.
• Ability to follow basic oral/written instructions in English (for the safety of our patients and staff in an emergency situation).

Salary Range $16.66 - $23.43 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
