Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a PRN Food & Nutrition Services Associate to join our patient-focused team. You will prepare and deliver food trays, take patient orders for diet-specific items, and coordinate with Dietitians on dietary needs.

You will also assist with catering, handle cash register transactions, wash dishes, receive shipments, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, efficient service area to ensure patient and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification required.
• Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.
• Obtain food orders and determine items for diets on trays; ensure tray accuracy.
• Record daily dietary data and share with Dietitians for patient needs.
• Assist with catering events.
• Assist customers with cash register food purchases.
• Wash dishes and clean work areas and equipment.
• Receive shipments and store food and supplies properly.
• Inventory and stock items in various hospital areas.
• Ensure customer service and satisfaction through friendly service.
• Assist with pots and pans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Food & Nutrition Services Associate at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital. In this role:

• You will prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.
• You will obtain food orders from patients and determine/place apportioned, prepared items needed for specific diets on trays and examine the trays for accuracy.
• You will record daily dietary data for patients and provide pertinent diet information to Dietitiansregardingthe special needs of patients.
• You willassistwith catering events.
• You willassistcustomers with cashregisterfood purchases.
• You will wash dishes and clean work areas, counters, and equipment.
• You will receive shipments andproperlystorefoodand supplies.
• You will inventory and stock items needed in various areas of the hospital.
• You will ensure client,customerservice/satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly customer service.
• You willassistwithpots and pans.
