Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Utah is seeking a PRN Clinical Dietitian to assess patient nutrition needs, develop plans, and provide nutrition education as part of the Dietary Services team.

The role involves daily rounds, collaboration with IDT and department heads, and PI projects. Registry eligibility or Utah licensure and ADA certification are required; bachelor's degree from an ADA program is required. This PRN position offers competitive benefits.

  • Must be registry eligible or registered by Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Must be licensed by the State of Utah and be a Certified Dietitian or receive certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an American Dietetic Association Program.
  • 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Current food handler’s permit.
  • Member of the American Dietetic Association preferred

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for evaluating and assessing the patient nutrition needs according to physician diagnosis, developing nutrition plans and goals, periodic assessment of the effects of nutrition therapy and is also responsible for the nutrition education/ consultation of patients and others. Screens newly admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. Serves as an active member of the Dietary Services team participating in daily rounds and providing nutrition education for fellow staff. Participates in weekly IDT meetings on the Continuing Care Center and quarterly P&T meetings with department heads. Responsible for PI Projects.
