Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

Education

Generally, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited if it is directly related to the work of the position.

OR

Experience

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. This experience should have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the duties of the position successfully and is typically related to the position to be filled.

Examples of qualifying experience include:

• Knowledge of arithmetic and responsibilities related to tracking and maintaining budget, stock records, and logs.
• Recording and transcribing minutes of meetings and compiling minutes for distribution.
• Utilizing financial management software, coordinating budget data, and maintaining updated department budgets.

If applicable, credit will be given for both paid and unpaid experience. You must indicate the actual hours spent in activities.
